According to Barry, a friend of his wife had just broken up with a man she’d been dating for years.

There was a particular song that always made her think of her old boyfriend.

One night, She was at a party given by her new boyfriend when the song was played nd She burst into tears.

The songwriting trio thought it was an interesting story so they wrote wrote a song about it.”

Later…they found out that the song that made her cry was Billy’s 1984 Hit: “Suddenly.” And there’s your twist!

Of course, there are millions of people who have a song that triggers memories of a former love, and that’s one of the main reasons
