Get Off of My Cloud by The Rolling Stones (1963)

  1. The Rolling Stones should have been living the dream after the success of their 1965 mega-Hit
  2. “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction,”but truth be told, they were NOT Satisfied— they were annoyed.

According to Keith Richards, they quickly became tired of people asking what the Stones might record  next.

In his words,”Get Off of My Cloud’ was basically a response to people knocking on our door asking us for

the follow-up to ‘Satisfaction.”

‘Mick Jagger called it ” a stop-bugging-me, post-teenage-alienation song”…and back in the mid-60s,

that was just the kind of song millions of young people could identify with!

“Get Off of My Cloud” was a Top TWO hit in 12 countries–That’s right…Top 2–earning #1 status in Germany,

South Africa, Canada, The UK…and The US!

So in a way , The Rolling Stones FINALLY got some satisfaction…with a Great Song of 1965 that told people to

“Get off of their cloud–while selling millions of records in the process!
